Administrative Assistant to Maternal Health Care

Do you enjoy working with administration and want to contribute to the development of maternal health care services? As an administrative assistant with us, you will support the department manager and have the opportunity to influence and improve the processes and working methods of the organization.

In the administrative role, you will also be the contact link to the clinics.

About the Position

The assignment involves handling invoices, purchases, orders, vacation planning, document management, short-term absences, and changes in schedules. You will participate in, plan, and prepare important meetings and theme days together with the department manager, samba, and the chief physician of maternal health care.

You will also provide administrative support in our systematic work environment efforts, as well as in hygiene rounds. You will be part of a working group for care and quality development, HSA issues, and IT/web, where you will be responsible for maintaining, updating, and developing the clinics' information on our intranet and waiting room. You will also handle other administrative tasks in our communication platform TeleQ and scheduling.

About You

We are looking for someone who is used to taking initiative and works to find new solutions and efficient working methods that benefit the entire organization. To succeed in this role, you need to have very good system skills. Experience with Cosmic, raindance, and heroma or other similar systems is a merit. You should also be a proficient user of the Office suite.

Furthermore, you see a pleasant demeanor and collaboration as an important part of your work, but you also enjoy structuring and executing tasks independently. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. As the job involves navigating between many different tasks and systems simultaneously, we see it as essential that you have previous work experience in administrative tasks.

Your Future Workplace

The Women's Clinic consists of three sections: Maternal Health Care, Obstetrics, and Gynecology, where we work in teams of doctors, midwives, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. The Women's Clinic provides maternity and postpartum care, gynecology, maternal health care, and specialist maternal care. The gynecological part focuses on gynecological diseases and treatments, as well as early pregnancy complications up to and including week 21. In the delivery/postpartum unit, mothers and children are cared for in connection with childbirth, as well as pregnant women with pregnancy complications from week 22. The maternal health care services include pregnancy monitoring, contraceptive counseling, gynecological cytology screening, and youth clinics. Specialist maternal care is responsible for several ultrasound examinations/ultrasound screenings during pregnancy.

The County Hospital in Kalmar is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an emergency hospital with specialist care, maternity care, and postpartum care. Over 2300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents.
