The assignment concerns a Category Strategist/Strategic Buyer for the technology department within critical societal infrastructure in Stockholm. In the role of Category Strategist/Strategic Buyer, you will independently, in close collaboration with the business, drive the work of analyzing and structuring the technology department's purchases. You will be a key person in the effort to increase cost efficiency, reduce risks, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations (LOU/LUF).

Your tasks include:

• Analyzing historical purchasing data and structuring purchases into appropriate categories based on volume, market conditions, business criticality, and risk.

• Conducting market and risk analyses per category, including competitive situation, supplier dependencies, and sustainability risks (ESG).

• Developing long-term sustainable and business-oriented supply strategies per category, including recommendations on procurement form, contract strategy, and supplier management considering Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

• Ensuring that the strategies are compliant with LOU/LUF and the fundamental procurement principles.

• Presenting analyses and strategy proposals to internal stakeholders and serving as strategic support for decisions on future procurements.

• Preparing communication materials that can be used within the framework of change management initiatives.

• Relevant academic degree or degree from a purchasing-focused vocational education.

• At least 8 years of experience in purchasing and procurement.

• At least 3 years of experience in category management, or at least 4 years of experience in strategic purchasing.

• Documented experience in developing purchasing strategies.

• At least 3 years of experience in leading teams.

• At least two years of experience in public procurement.

• At least one year of experience in the railway, tram, or real estate industry.
