Our Operations

The operational area of the Academic Children's Hospital consists of eight sections. The position belongs organizationally to the section for specialized pediatrics. The section provides National Highly Specialized Care (NHV) in several areas. Research and teaching are important components of our operations.

Your Mission

Your mission involves clinical work at the Gastrointestinal Clinic for children and adolescents. You will work with pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at the subspecialist level. The mission also includes work within the Pediatric Gastro Center where NHV bowel rehabilitation for children is conducted. The work method is team-based, and you will receive continuous guidance from senior colleagues to achieve subspecialist competence.

Rotating responsibility as a pediatric gastro consultant for the Healthcare Region of Central Sweden and for other sections at the Academic Children's Hospital is included, as well as responsibility for our elective care ward a few days per month. On-call duty is included.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a specialist in pediatric and adolescent medicine and who wants to work in a team-based manner. Your goal is to become a subspecialist in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at the university hospital level and to be independent regarding the management of intestinal failure and motility disorders. Clinical experience in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition, including motility disorders and intestinal failure, is advantageous. Ongoing research in the subject area is also advantageous. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

We offer you a permanent position with a full-time working rate of 100%. For the specialist physician position, applicants must meet the merit requirements of the Academic Hospital.
