About the role

As a nursing assistant, you support nurses with delegated health and medical care tasks. You work in the patient's home and contribute to security and continuity in their daily lives.

Our workplace is located at Fyrisborgsgatan 1, and from here we go out on home visits. This may involve patients who are under or over 65 years old, people with assistance decisions, or individuals living in LSS housing or social psychiatric housing. It is a varied job where you meet many different people in their home environment.

Examples of job tasks

• perform delegated health and medical care tasks from nurses
• provide support and care in the patient's daily life
• observe and report changes in health status
• work independently and plan your workday
• contribute to security and good quality in operations
• collaborate with nurses and other professionals

Qualifications

Requirements:

• trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title according to the requirements of the National Board of Health and Welfare
• driver's license
• ability to receive and perform all delegations from nurses, including wound care, sampling, and other delegable health care tasks, as well as work independently in the patient's home

Meritorious:

• experience in home healthcare or municipal care

Personal competencies

We are looking for someone who can work independently and takes responsibility for their tasks. You plan and organize your work well and feel secure in your role. At the same time, you are a person who collaborates well with others, communicates clearly, and shows respect in all meetings. You are flexible and can adapt when things change, and you see solutions instead of obstacles. You also have a good empathetic ability and can understand how patients and relatives feel while maintaining your professional role.

This is a summer temporary position with full-time jobs for the period of weeks 25-34.

As of July 1, 2023, the title nursing assistant is a protected professional title. To use the title nursing assistant, you need to present proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023. If you have nursing assistant training but lack proof or certificate, you may temporarily receive the title of care assistant.

In your application, you must indicate your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification of the work permit, which is required under the Aliens Ordinance.
