Project Manager for Technical Infrastructure
We are now looking for someone with technical expertise and experience in leading complex projects, who is driven by learning new things, developing, and contributing to something greater than themselves. Here, your work is meaningful at every step, from early needs identification and ideas to delivery, follow-up, and long-term functionality. With us, you have the opportunity to use your knowledge where it truly makes a difference – in the work of developing and maintaining fortification-protected infrastructure for the Armed Forces' war organization.
About the Position
As a project manager, you have an important and cohesive role where you both drive projects forward and contribute to the overall picture of the Armed Forces' technical and protected facilities. You lead projects from feasibility study to final delivery with a focus on the installation of infrastructure for IT, telecommunications, technical surveillance, and other technical systems that together create fully functioning and secure facilities. The technical installations include IT systems, property networks, communication equipment, alarm, access control, and surveillance systems.
In this role, you will work with projects at various stages of the lifecycle, including new acquisitions and further development of existing solutions. The projects vary in scope and complexity, providing a varied and stimulating everyday life.
You work closely with planning leaders, product leaders, and specialists in various fields and have overall responsibility for the project's planning, implementation, and follow-up. This includes, among other things, finances, timelines, purchases, and deliveries. In this role, you have many points of contact and collaborate both internally and externally with the Armed Forces, the Fortifications Agency, suppliers, and other stakeholders. You will lead several projects in parallel at different locations in the country, which involves travel and close collaboration with relevant actors.
The position is based in Stockholm and offers very limited opportunities for remote work. Business trips occur, primarily domestically.
About You
We are looking for someone with at least a high school education with a technical focus or equivalent competence that we assess as comparable. You have project management training and both current and relevant experience in leading projects in organizations with high demands for integrity and security awareness, where you have led projects from requirements specification to delivery. Furthermore, you have experience with technical installations in areas such as IT infrastructure, alarm, access control, and surveillance systems or communication solutions in demanding environments. The position requires a B driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have a relevant academic education, experience in technical systems work, or work in related technical fields. Experience with project planning tools such as MS Project or equivalent is also a plus. We view positively if you have worked with government local supply or with security-classified operations in the public sector. Procurement and purchasing are important parts of the role, and experience in public procurement is therefore meritorious.
Personal qualities are of great importance to us. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences and seek someone who is motivated to work towards common goals and takes responsibility for driving work forward sustainably. You thrive in collaboration with others and actively contribute to open, respectful, and effective teamwork. To succeed and thrive, you need to be flexible, which means you can easily adapt to changing circumstances while being structured and meticulous in your work approach. With sound financial judgment, you have a long-term and responsible approach to resources, quality, and costs.
