Schedevi Psychiatry is a privately owned company that has been providing support, round-the-clock care, and housing for adults with mental disabilities and comorbidity since 1942.

We offer a wide range of care with personal support, social and physical training, and assistance in individual development. We have several well-established operations and are located in Östergötland, Västergötland, and now also in Småland.

About Us

Schedevi Öst is a home for care and accommodation (HVB) consisting of 5 units and day activities. We work with functional training in ADL and active rehabilitation for adults with acquired disabilities due to, for example, psychotic illness or comorbidity. Some parts of the operation are specifically aimed at individuals with complex and permanent disabilities where rehabilitation potential has been assessed to be significantly limited.

We have extensive experience working with individuals who, in addition to SoL placements, are cared for under the law on open forensic psychiatric care and the law on open psychiatric coercive care.

Job Responsibilities

The work primarily involves providing support and care to residents in their daily lives. Based on areas of need and goals, an implementation plan has been established. Following that, a structured weekly schedule has been created for each individual, which may include support conversations, training in daily living skills, and everyday tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking.

In addition to these standard tasks at the units, such as documentation, weekly grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, laundry, social training, and transporting clients to healthcare centers, etc.

The work requires operating within a clear structure and predictability in daily life through known routines and approaches.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who wants to work with adults who have pronounced disabilities due to psychiatric illness. We can offer you a pleasant, educational, and varied job in our operations. If you have completed any training or are currently training in healthcare, social work, or pedagogy, it is an advantage, as well as previous experience in similar work. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have good computer skills.
