Description

The Psychiatry Operations at Kungälv Hospital consists of inpatient care departments, a psychiatric emergency department, psychiatric outpatient clinics, child psychiatric clinics, and specialized clinics for patients with eating disorders and emotional instability. Ward 9 is an inpatient care department focusing on psychosis and general psychiatry, where individuals with eating disorders are also treated. The ward has 12 beds and two beds for user-controlled admissions. Ward 10 is an inpatient department focused on addiction and general psychiatry, with 12 beds.

We are looking for individuals who want to work in inpatient care and are also interested in working with the target group described above. We are committed to continuously developing and evaluating psychiatric care and would like you to be interested in participating in ongoing improvement work.

Responsibilities

As a nurse, you will be responsible for psychiatric care. The patient's care plan is the guiding document, and the patient should be involved in its creation. The care plan is continuously evaluated throughout the patient's stay. We work with shared decision-making, and the care is person-centered. Patients and relatives should be involved in the care. We also have a responsibility to provide support and information to minor children as well as to support patients in their parental role. The team around the patient includes nurses, healthcare assistants, and doctors.

The Psychiatry Operations at Kungälv Hospital is seeking healthcare assistants and nurses for the summer of 2026 in psychiatry, wards 9 and 10, and the psychiatric emergency department. We offer a fun, stimulating, responsible, and exciting job where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills together with new colleagues. During weeks 26–33, ward 10 will close and merge with ward 9, increasing the number of beds in ward 9 to 20 + 2 user-controlled beds.

Qualifications

You are a trained healthcare assistant/nurse.

If you are a student in the nursing program, you need to have completed semester 3 or semester 4 depending on your educational program.

If you are a student in the medical program, you need to have completed semester 5 or semester 6 depending on your educational program.
