Assistant Nurse to Ward 2 at Kungälv Hospital Summer 2026

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

About the Operations

The Surgery and Orthopedics department at Kungälv Hospital includes two wards, a clinic, a day care unit, and a gynecological clinic.

We have about 230 employees. The department handles both acute and planned patients in outpatient and inpatient care within surgery, urology, and orthopedics. A significant part of the operations is of an acute nature, but some of the work also involves caring for patients at the end of life.

Qualifications

You should be a trained assistant nurse. Experience from hospital care (previous employment or internship) and experience in surgery and/or emergency care is an advantage.

If you are a student in the nursing program, you need to have completed semester 3 or semester 4 depending on your educational program.

If you are a medical student, you need to have completed semester 5 or semester 6 depending on your educational program.

Protected Professional Title for Assistant Nurses

As of July 1, 2023, the title of assistant nurse is a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of assistant nurse within healthcare and social services.
