Assistant Nurse to Surgery and Orthopedics

The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Description

In the Surgery and Orthopedics departments, we work with both acute and elective care.

In the Orthopedics department, we care for patients who have fractures, suffer from back pain, or have undergone amputation.

In the Surgery department, we care for patients who have abdominal pain, malignancies, or urological issues. The Surgery department also has five palliative care places.

In the departments, nurses and nursing assistants work together in a wonderful and cohesive team. We also have close collaboration with other professions and units within the hospital to create the best possible care for our patients.

As a nursing assistant in the Surgery and Orthopedics area, you have the opportunity to influence and make a difference for the patient in your daily work.

Qualifications

You are a trained nursing assistant with previous healthcare experience. Experience working in a care department is an advantage. We see that you have a good ability to plan and coordinate your work. Your working style is characterized by being driven, independent, and flexible. Additionally, you prefer to work in a team and therefore have good collaboration skills.

If you are a student in the nursing program, you need to have completed semester 3 or semester 4 depending on your educational program.

If you are a student in the medical program, you need to have completed semester 5 or semester 6 depending on your educational program.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working Hours

The employment is full-time and covers all hours of the day during the period 260601 - 260831.
