Älta School is located in the picturesque Älta and is part of the Älta principal area, which includes three primary schools, six preschools, and a resource school. Your mission
As a primary school teacher for grades 4-6, you are responsible for teaching your subjects and teaching three parallel classes. You plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the curriculum and continuously work to adapt and vary it to meet the different needs of the students. Furthermore, you follow up, assess, and document students' knowledge development and ensure that the teaching maintains high quality and contributes to students' learning and development. The assignment includes mentorship, where you build trusting and professional relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You conduct development talks and actively work to create secure structures for students' social and knowledge development.
You will be part of a teaching team along with two other mentors. You collaborate closely on planning, assessment, and systematic quality work. To create the right conditions for students, close cooperation with special teachers and teachers in practical aesthetic subjects is required. There is room to influence and develop teaching based on interest, knowledge, and experience.
Your experience
For this position, you are required to have:
- a primary teacher's degree with a focus on grades 4-6 with subject qualifications in Swedish and SO
- experience teaching at the middle school level
- good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
It is an advantage if you also have:
- subject qualifications in mathematics, NO, technology, and English
- experience in mentorship
- experience working with students who need extra adjustments and special support
- digital competence with good experience working with IT as a pedagogical tool.

You build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment. As a person, you are proactive, curious, and driven, with a desire to try new working methods and develop teaching.
You have good pedagogical insight and understand how children and young people absorb knowledge. You adapt teaching according to students' different conditions and use methods that create good opportunities for learning. You can work thematically and see the opportunity to integrate different subjects to create coherence and context in teaching.
