At the non-profit Foundation Läxhjälpen, you contribute your skills and commitment to help more students meet the eligibility requirements with confidence for the future.

We are now looking for new digital tutors!

We are looking for you who are interested in a paid part-time job and at the same time want to make a concrete social contribution. The position is a part-time employment in the afternoons/evenings and involves, in short, being a digital tutor after school hours within the framework of our digital program.

As a digital tutor, you meet students online and support them in their studies using digital tools. You work in a team with other tutors and receive training in, and work according to, our structured approach and method.

A central part of the assignment is relationship building. As a digital tutor, you need to be able to “break through the screen,” create security, and build trusting relationships with the students despite the physical distance. You are present, engaged, and attentive, and understand how important relationships are for students' motivation, study environment, and development.

As a tutor, you can either work as a regular digital tutor or as a substitute. As a regular tutor, you work about 6 hours a week, distributed over two scheduled afternoons/evenings (with the possibility of extra shifts). As a substitute, you work as needed when regular tutors are absent. The work is completely digital.

We are looking for you who:

• Are a university or college student.
• Have good pedagogical skills and can communicate clearly, engagingly, and relationship-building with children and young people in digital environments.
• Are comfortable leading and participating in digital meetings and have an easy time establishing contact and trust online.
• Are solution-oriented, proactive, and can work according to our structured approach and method.
• Have broad basic subject competence and good study techniques.
• Share the values and vision of the Foundation Läxhjälpen for a society where all children grow up with the conditions to succeed in school and shape their own future.

As the work involves working with children, we place great importance on personal suitability. Providing a police record extract for the employer is a legal requirement for working with children and young people.

The differences between schools, where you live, where you come from, and what your parents do increasingly determine how likely you are to succeed in school. The Foundation Läxhjälpen is a non-profit foundation that operates where it is needed most. Tutoring is free for students, and the tutors' salaries are financed through support from the business community and the public sector.

Läxhjälpen is a concrete initiative that addresses one of Sweden's biggest problems today - that more and more young people are not succeeding in school and risk being excluded from society. Carefully selected, paid university students help young people with their studies two evenings a week and are also positive role models and mentors. Since our start in 2007, we have developed a structured approach and a clear goal - grades should be improved and students should progress to high school. We are currently in over 90 schools in Stockholm, Södertälje, Västerås, Norrköping, Gothenburg, Landskrona, Umeå, Sundsvall, Uppsala, Gävle, and Malmö.
