We are an independent F-9 school, three parallel classes with about 800 students and over 100 employees. Byängsskolan has been around for a long time in Täby, with a long tradition of quality and safety. Both our current location and the one we are moving to in January 2027 are centrally located in Täby with good transportation links to and from the school.

Our staff is ambitious, skilled, and committed to creating an educational, inspiring, and safe school environment for everyone in lifelong learning. We have high expectations of ourselves and our students.

This school year, we have invested extra in reading, and the goal is for Byängsskolan / Täby Parkskolan to be a reading school, meaning that we all read extra in all subjects. We work preventively against bullying and harassment with the help of the Olweus program, based on research. Our safety work permeates all activities, both lessons and breaks and lunch.

Now it is time for our study and career counselor to take on new challenges, and therefore we are looking for a calm and secure replacement for our competent and well-cooperating team. The position is approximately 70-80% as a career counselor today and can then be expanded with other tasks, such as shared mentorship in a class in the upper secondary school, where you will be part of the upper secondary school's working team. You will be part of the school's Student Health Team and contribute with your knowledge about students but also be able to support students in motivational conversations and study planning.

High expectations, good study environment, safety, and good knowledge are our guiding principles. A good learning environment requires that you have the ability to create good relationships with students and an organized way of working where you convey information and safety and inspire students to reach their ambitions and choices according to their abilities. It is important that you are interested in students' learning and systematically develop your work towards the goals set by the school, the various chapters of the curriculum, and the school's regulations.

The operations of Byängsskolan are distributed across 14 different buildings; in Täby Parkskolan, everyone will be in one and the same building. The study and career counselor currently has a well-thought-out and pleasant office in one of the upper secondary school buildings and will also have their office in the upper secondary area in the new school.

The employment starts in August 2025.
