Habilitation is specialized health care for children and adolescents with autism, intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, or acquired brain injuries. We provide health-promoting and therapeutic interventions based on each individual's unique needs and circumstances, and we have specialist knowledge of how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

The work mainly takes place in the habilitation's premises but may, based on needs, occur in the patient's local environment.

Responsibilities

As a speech therapist with us, you are an important team member. You will work with individuals with disabilities, based on the patient's needs. As a speech therapist within habilitation, you will work with speech, language, communication, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), oral motor skills, eating/swallowing, and drinking difficulties. The work is characterized by variation and involves working in a team around the patient consisting of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, special educators, dietitians, nurses, and doctors.

In addition to contacts with patients within the target group and relatives, advice, consultation, and supervision are also provided to staff groups around the patient. The work primarily takes place in the facility's premises but also to some extent in the patient's local environment. Interventions can be provided individually or in groups. You will be part of a professional group together with other speech therapists at the clinic.

We are looking for someone who

• is a licensed speech therapist.
• has experience working with individuals from our target groups.
• feels comfortable working both in a team and independently as you will be solely responsible for certain tasks.
• has social skills and the ability to collaborate as the work involves cooperation with relatives, various professional groups, and other healthcare providers.
• has a driver's license as travel is required in the position.
