Within the Health and Care Administration, we have full-time as the norm. This means that all permanent employees fundamentally have a full-time position. We are now looking for you as a care assistant

who wants to help shape a new team for Intensive Home Rehabilitation in Uppsala! Become part of an organization where your care skills make a real difference.

In this team, care assistants, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists work together to strengthen people's independence in their daily lives. Here, you will work closely together around each patient, where your different skills complement each other and form the foundation for safe, effective, and person-centered rehabilitation. This is a unique opportunity to influence the direction from the start and be part of shaping future working methods.

Your tasks

You will be involved in developing working methods, routines, and team culture in a new operation – with the opportunity to make a real difference by contributing to the user's rehabilitation, safety, and independence every day. You will work closely with both the user and the team, where your skills and commitment are an important part of the effort. The role involves independent work in the home, while you also have close collaboration with licensed colleagues.

Your role includes, among other things:

  • supporting the user in rehabilitation efforts on behalf of licensed personnel
  • personal care and service efforts that make a difference in the user's daily life
  • performing delegated health and medical tasks and documenting according to the Social Services Act and applicable routines

You will work weekdays between 07:00 and 16:00.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained care assistant with a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. To succeed in the role, you need to be meticulous about documentation, follow up on your work, and feel confident in receiving delegations in medicine and training.

Requirements:

  • Care assistant education with a protected professional title according to the National Board of Health and Welfare
  • Experience using digital tools in your work
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Good knowledge of documentation
  • You should be able to cycle

Meritorious:

  • Specialist care assistant education
  • Experience working in home care
  • Driver's license B

Personal competencies

To build this new team, we are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with colleagues while also taking independent responsibility for your efforts. You easily adapt to changes and see opportunities when circumstances shift. You work goal- and result-oriented and have a structured approach where you plan, communicate, and follow up your tasks clearly.

At the same time, you are attentive and have good collaboration skills; you build trust, contribute to good relationships, and can handle discussions and differences constructively. You are development-oriented and motivated to test new working methods, drive improvements, and help create a modern, person-centered, and sustainable home rehabilitation.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of care assistant is a protected professional title. To use the title of care assistant, you need to provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were permanently employed as a care assistant on July 1, 2023. If you have care assistant education but lack proof or certificate, you may temporarily receive the title of care assistant during a transition period.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only occur after verification according to the Aliens Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve military placement.
