Our Operations

Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacy, with about 100 employees, constitutes the hospital pharmacy function of Uppsala University Hospital and consists of the departments of Pharmaceutical Supply, Pharmaceutical Preparation, Department Pharmacy, and Clinical Pharmacy. Within the Clinical Pharmacy department, there are currently about 30 clinical pharmacists, located at Uppsala University Hospital, the Hospital in Enköping, and the Primary Care Unit in Ulleråker.

Your Mission

You will be employed within Clinical Pharmacy with placement in the field of Medicine, Dermatology, and Rheumatology. This is an area of expertise with consolidated competence and highly specialized care in the fields of Endocrinology-Diabetes, Skin and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Rheumatology.

As a clinical pharmacist, you will have an overarching role where you work with monitoring and management of drug prescriptions and costs, as well as providing support in practical and in-depth questions related to pharmaceuticals. You will provide pharmaceutical support both at the unit level and the operational level and be involved in routine work related to pharmaceuticals. You will work for increased patient safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness in the pharmaceutical field – in multidisciplinary teams and always with the patient at the center.

Your Qualifications

The requirement for eligibility is that you are a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy technician with a master's degree. Additionally, you should have completed basic courses in clinical pharmacy. Experience in clinical work or a master's degree in clinical pharmacy, as well as fluency in Swedish and English in both speech and writing, are required. Previous work with drug monitoring is an advantage. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability and ability to collaborate.
