Our Operations

Akademiska sjukhuset offers the opportunity for study salary for nurses accepted into the specialist nursing program in oncology/palliative care. After completing and passing the specialist training, you will be offered a position as a specialist nurse, and we look forward to you being an important resource in the development of our operations!

Conditions

Your study salary corresponds to 100% of the base salary (maximum 32,000 SEK/month) and is primarily aimed at nurses who are permanently employed or who, in connection with recruitment, will receive a permanent position at Akademiska sjukhuset, Region Uppsala, and start their education in the autumn semester of 2026 at Uppsala University. A study salary may also be offered for studies conducted at other educational institutions. The study salary is vacation pay qualifying and is not paid during holidays and any study breaks. The hospital prioritizes applicants who have not previously received a study salary during specialist training within Region Uppsala. The study pace for the education is part-time studies, which means that during your study time you will work with us at 50% and study at 50%. Once you have progressed in your studies, but well before your graduation, we will have a joint dialogue about suitable areas of responsibility/special assignments for you as a specialist nurse within the Department of Blood and Tumor Diseases (BOT).
