Process Leader in Balancing

About the position

As a Process Leader in Balancing, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and managing processes for the operational work in the control room. In close collaboration with your colleagues at Svenska kraftnät and our counterparts in the Nordic countries, you will be involved in the work to develop the balancing process. You will be a requirements setter for business projects, IT, and coordinator with other functions related to the control room. Furthermore, the position includes:

  • close contact with operators in the national control room and actors in the electricity market
  • analyses and investigations for the development of tools and processes in the control room
  • continuous monitoring and improvement of operational processes to ensure high operational reliability.

As a Process Leader at Svenska kraftnät, which is experiencing significant growth and a changing work environment, you will face several complex challenges. The work will involve responsibility for one or more processes within the main process of ensuring operational balance. This will mean that you lead and coordinate operational work, drive investigations, and ensure progress in development issues. You will navigate between different stakeholders' needs, conduct follow-ups and analyses of incidents, and drive work related to continuity and fallback management.

As a Process Leader in Operations, you have great development opportunities. You will broaden your competence in the balancing of the power system, market development, and process development while also being able to influence your role. You will participate in projects, both Nordic and European.

The unit currently consists of 13 employees who are specialized in different areas while exchanging experiences and working closely together. The unit is responsible for the operational processes, which involves work with the development of markets, processes, and IT tools for balancing as well as procurement optimization.

We place great importance on your personal qualities.

You also have: A Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as energy systems.

  • Your communicative ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, is good.

It is advantageous if you have knowledge and experience of:

  • experience in the energy industry with relevant knowledge of power systems and the functioning of the electricity market
  • relevant knowledge of balancing markets and the balancing process
  • experience of a process-oriented working method
  • experience in continuity work and the development of instructions
  • experience in control room operations

  • The position is located in Stockholm/Sundbyberg
  • Opportunity for remote work up to 50% #LI-hybrid
  • May occur up to once a month, mainly within the Nordic countries.
