JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a fire inspector/technician, including supervision and permit management at the fire service in Storuman. You will be part of an operational preparedness role as a commander. The fire inspector/technician position with us is a dynamic job. Storuman is a small municipality, which contributes to flexible work tasks. You will handle environmental monitoring and implement new working methods and approaches to achieve the fire service's goals in the area.

• Exercise planning, training, and material procurement.
• Advice and information to the public.
• Operation/maintenance of the organization's vehicles and material procurement.
• Operation of IT systems. (Paging systems, alarms, Rakel, WMA, Daedalos, etc.)
• Responsibility for the organization's protective equipment (respirators, fall protection, personal equipment, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: Driver's license C and BE or B96. Training as Strength Leader (or equivalent educational level). You have a valid fitness certificate for work within the fire service and live within 5 minutes of the main station in Storuman.

You have a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You are a good listener and can adapt your communication to ensure your messages are conveyed correctly, both to private individuals and authorities. You have a structured approach and the ability to see the bigger picture. You organize your tasks independently and ensure that cases progress.

You are well-versed in relevant legislation (LSO/LBE/PBL and the Environmental Code). You have good knowledge of technical tools related to the fire service's operations (Rakel/Daedalos/Office365, etc.).

Meritorious: Incident commander and Supervision A (or equivalent educational levels). Other training related to the fire service's operations. Experience as a vehicle mechanic.

Employment with the Fire Service may involve placement in a security class. A security review with background checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a hiring decision. With employment, you will be assigned to the Fire Service in Storuman.
