We are now looking for an electronics engineer, on behalf of our partner, who wants to contribute to the future solutions in defense, security, and advanced technology.

Our client is an established technology consulting company with over 2000 employees in Sweden and has been around since 1982. With a stable ownership structure, long-term thinking is combined with high-tech expertise. In Karlstad, there are currently about 40 people, and within the relevant group, there are five, with a clear ambition to grow significantly in the coming years.

This is both a delivery role and a strategic investment. You will step into a growing company where your expertise makes a difference, both in customer projects and in building the local business.

As an electronics engineer, you will work in technically advanced customer projects, often within the defense and security sector but also in areas such as automotive. The assignments are usually long-term, and you are employed by our client but work on projects for their customers.

The role encompasses all or parts of the development chain, from design to testing and verification.

Electronics Design

• Analog design

• Digital design

• Power electronics

• In some projects, RF and antenna technology

PCB Work

• Schematic design

• PCB layout (placement and routing)

• Prototype development

• Power-up and initial troubleshooting

• Testing, verification, and documentation

System and Cable Design (alternative focus)

• Cable design and wiring

• Wiring diagrams

• Integration of electronics in vehicles or larger systems

• Measurement and troubleshooting using oscilloscopes

• EMC and installation aspects

Depending on your background, you may work more towards circuit design or more towards system and cable integration. There is a need in both areas.

You will be based in Karlstad, Karlskoga, or Örebro and work on projects that may involve travel between locations a few times a month. Overnight stays are rare. Presence at the client's site is common, and you should expect to work on-site in the projects to a relatively high extent.

You will report to the group manager in the region and become part of a team that currently consists of five people, with a clear growth plan ahead. Here, there is an opportunity to influence how the business develops locally.

We are looking for someone with a technical bachelor's or master's degree in electronics and at least three years of relevant experience. If you have five years or more, it is particularly meritorious.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electronics

• At least 3 years of experience in electronics design

• Swedish citizenship

• Ability to undergo security clearance

• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Driving license B

• Experience from the defense industry

• Automotive background

• Experience with power electronics

• RF and antenna technology

• Practical lab and testing experience

• Experience with wiring and system integration

You enjoy working in project form, collaborating with other disciplines, and see the value in contributing to a growing team. It is an advantage if you are interested in eventually taking a more driving role in the team and contributing to knowledge sharing and development.
