Data Engineer – Data Analytics & AI | Uddeholm, Hagfors

We are now strengthening our team within Data Analytics & AI and are looking for a Data Engineer who wants to help build the data foundation for future industrial solutions.

The position is full-time and permanent.

Your Role

As a Data Engineer here, you play a central role in making data accessible, reliable, and usable – from production to business decisions. You work closely with both the business operations and our AI and analytics specialists, contributing to the development of a modern data platform.

You will become part of our Data Engineering team and work on designing, building, and further developing scalable data solutions. The role includes both classic data engineering tasks and forward-looking work where we continuously develop our platform and working methods.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Data Architecture and Modeling: Design and implement robust and scalable data models and architectures to meet the company's needs.
• Data Management and Integration: Develop and implement processes to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into data warehouses.
• Data Quality and Security: Implement methods to ensure data quality and manage data security aspects, including access controls.
• Tools and Technology: Work with various data management tools and technologies, such as database platforms, big data frameworks, and cloud-based services.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data processing processes and queries to ensure fast response times.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data models, ETL processes, and other relevant system components.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a solid technical foundation and a strong interest in data, problem-solving, and modern technology. You have a relevant education in computer science, data technology, system development, or equivalent experience. You have good knowledge of databases and data management as well as experience in programming, such as Python or SQL. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English.

Preferred Experience

We consider it extra valuable if you have experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms, working according to DataOps principles such as CI/CD, testing, and monitoring of data pipelines, as well as automating data flows and processes. Experience in handling large datasets with tools like Spark is also desirable. It is also a plus if you have worked with version control in Git and have experience from the manufacturing industry.
