Do you want to drive the energy transition in practice? Do you have a broad interest in energy systems, electrification, and digitalization, and do you wish to develop in a role where technology, collaboration, and project management meet? Then you might be the person we are looking for. Glava Energy Center is seeking an Energy Systems Engineer who wants to take the next step in their career and contribute to the implementation of a national demonstration project within industrial electrification and digitalization, in close collaboration with leading actors in the energy sector.

About Glava Energy Center

Glava Energy Center is an innovation cluster, educational provider, and member-driven association working for a smart and sustainable energy system in Värmland and the Swedish-Norwegian border region. We drive projects, networks, and initiatives within areas such as local energy management, energy communities, circular economy, education, testbeds, and climate-smart solutions.

A key part of our work is strengthening our member companies and partners through knowledge, collaboration, and practical solutions that contribute to the energy transition. With several new projects and a growing membership base, we are in an exciting phase of development, and we are now looking for a new colleague to join our team.

About the Role

As an Energy Systems Engineer with us, you will, among other things:

  • serve as a support to the project's industrial partners in both technical matters and the practical implementation of demonstration activities,
  • contribute to the planning, coordination, and follow-up of activities among the project's industrial partners and internally with us,
  • participate in the analysis of technical data, documentation, and feedback from the project's demonstration environments,
  • contribute to ensuring the successful implementation of the project.

You will work closely with Glava Energy Center's project manager, technical project manager, and communication team. The role also involves collaboration with companies, research actors, and other organizations participating in the project.

You will become part of a small and engaged team where collaboration is key. In addition to project work, you are expected to contribute to the development of Glava Energy Center by participating in joint activities, sharing knowledge between projects, and contributing to the development of our operations.

This role suits you if you thrive in the intersection of technology, collaboration, and project management. We would like you to have an interest in several of the following areas:

  • operation and development of local and regional power grids,
  • energy usage in society, particularly within industry,
  • flexibility markets and flexibility services,
  • control systems for energy and power management,
  • artificial intelligence and its growing importance for industrial processes and energy systems.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a master's degree in the energy field or equivalent technical education/experience,
  • at least two years of relevant work experience,
  • strong organizational skills and a structured approach to work,
  • good problem-solving abilities,
  • ability to work independently and take ownership,
  • commitment to sustainability and equality,
  • good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English,
  • a valid driver's license (Category B).

Meritorious

  • experience in project management or project coordination.
  • experience with industrial operations and energy issues,
  • experience in implementing energy or development projects.

What We Offer

  • a fixed-term employment for three years
  • a position of 80–100%,
  • start in August 2026 or as agreed,
  • flexible working arrangements with the possibility to work from our offices in Arvika and Glava, as well as partially remotely.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work closely with business, public actors, and other key players in the energy transition – and contribute to concrete solutions for the energy systems of the future.
