Department of Community Building

In the Department of Community Building, we are responsible for several areas within the municipality's community planning. Here, you will find land and exploitation, comprehensive planning, local strategy, administrative management, project management, and detailed planning. We are 10 employees whose mission is to drive, support, and follow up on the municipality's long-term community planning processes. We are a department within the municipal executive administration and work closely together on many issues, offering a varied job where you have the opportunity for both significant personal responsibility and good collaboration with your colleagues. Bjuv municipality, like many other Swedish municipalities, faces a significant need for development and reinvestment in our operational facilities. At the same time, planning is underway for new housing and an increasing population. Currently, new production of a new special housing facility and a new sports hall is underway, two projects that the Department of Community Building is driving. To manage development, planning for the local needs of operations is carried out within the local supply process that the local strategist is responsible for.

Bjuv municipality is located in northwestern Skåne, next to Helsingborg. It is easy to reach from Helsingborg or Malmö-Lund by train or car. The municipality, which has about 16,000 inhabitants, consists of three municipal parts: Bjuv, Billesholm, and Ekeby. The municipality's organization has about 1,200 employees. The Department of Community Building is located in the municipal building, a stone's throw from the train station.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a substitute as our local strategist will be on parental leave.

In your work as a local strategist, you will be responsible for the municipality's local supply process and lead the work of establishing local audits for the committees as well as the municipality's overall local supply plan.

You will be responsible for contact with our property management company and coordinate between the municipality's internal tenants and the municipality's service management. The assignment includes ordering management for the municipality's premises as well as establishing lease agreements and responsibility for financial management. You will also have a central role in the work of establishing the investigations, pre-studies, and local and functional programs that the administration is responsible for.

In the role of local strategist, you act as a process leader and support function for your contacts in the administrations when they conduct investigations and prepare reports for their committees.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is an educated urban planner, property scientist, or equivalent with experience in local supply issues or strategic property management, preferably from a municipality or region. Experience working in a politically governed organization is a requirement.

You are curious, meticulous, and attentive. You are a person with a good ability to communicate in text and image and can convey messages clearly and pedagogically. You are methodical and used to working independently and in a structured manner.

You are accustomed to working with digital tools in Office (Excel and Word) as well as with the Adobe package (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop). The position entails independent and flexible work, which requires a good ability and willingness to take initiative and responsibility. The work involves many personal contacts and collaboration with colleagues within the municipality, the public, developers, and authorities. You have good social skills and an unpretentious approach. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
