About the Position

We are looking for an Interim Manager for an authority in Helsingborg. In the role of interim manager, you will be responsible for the daily operations, planning, and follow-up of the team's work. You will lead and distribute tasks, monitor ongoing activities, and ensure that the work environment, quality, and safety procedures are functioning as they should. The role also involves working closely with employees, handling practical issues on-site, contributing to technical and logistical improvements, and participating in the planning of upcoming expeditions.

The authority is undergoing an organizational review, and while waiting for a new permanent manager, there is a need for an interim manager who can provide clear and present leadership during this period. The assignment is about creating stability and keeping the operations together until the new organization is in place.

The authority works to coordinate and support Swedish research and is responsible for both expeditions and research infrastructure. The relevant unit is involved in planning, coordinating, and executing specialized research efforts that require both technical and logistical expertise. The work is primarily conducted from the authority's operational center in Helsingborg, and if necessary, also in the field on vessels.

In this position, the following tasks may occur

  • Lead, distribute, and follow up on the work within the unit
  • Ensure that operations are conducted efficiently and according to set goals
  • Drive improvement work within technology and logistics
  • Collaborate with other parts of the organization
  • Ensure that work environment and safety procedures are followed
  • Be responsible for planning, follow-up, and development of the group's work
  • Perform administrative and practical tasks
  • Be responsible for the unit's budget, financial follow-up, and reporting
  • Participate in expedition planning, e.g., work with Scope of Work in collaboration with a senior expert at the authority and coordination for the summer's three expeditions.

Assignment Period and Scope:

The position of Interim Manager is a consultancy assignment with an employment rate of 50-60%. The assignment should start as soon as possible but no later than April 20 and is expected to last for approximately six (6) months. Thereafter, there is a possibility of extension for up to six (6) months.

The assignment will primarily be carried out on-site, at the authority's office in Helsingborg. Travel around Sweden may occur.

Requirements for the Position:

  • Post-secondary education, preferably in logistics, technology, or another area deemed relevant for the assignment
  • Previous experience as a manager
  • Good ability to collaborate and communicate with different target groups
  • Good knowledge and understanding of technology and logistics (to be evident in CV through relevant assignments/positions)
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Ability to start the assignment as soon as possible but no later than April 20
