We call it a summer job with a warmth guarantee! We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist or a student to work in municipal health and medical care this summer.

We provide rehabilitation in various areas of operation. We work with patients in ordinary housing, care and nursing homes, and short-term units. You will work in one of these areas. With us, you will often meet patients over a longer period. This means you will become a master of meetings and relationships. In your role as a licensed therapist, you will perform assessments, treatments, and evaluations. You make a difference for patients and create conditions for them to have as independent a life, with as good quality of life, as possible. The work also includes supervising nursing staff and delegating tasks as well as prescribing and testing medical technical aids. You will meet patients with various rehabilitation needs, which gives you a great variety in your work and opportunities to continuously develop your skills and learn new things.

As a rehabilitation assistant, you will work closely with occupational therapists to support patients' rehabilitation, and together you will plan the daily work. You will perform training programs, manage aids, and assist with home visits before the patient's discharge.

You will receive an introduction and ongoing advice as well as exchange of skills with colleagues in a close team. The vacation period runs from June to August (weeks 26-33). Working hours are during the day. We have four city areas in Gothenburg: Hisingen, Sydväst, Centrum, and Nordost. You choose which city areas you are interested in in your application. Based on preferences and needs in the operations, your application will then be distributed to the responsible unit manager.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. A driver's license is an advantage and in some areas necessary as you will travel to different patients by car. It is advantageous if you have previous experience in habilitation or rehabilitation work and/or experience in our areas of operation. As a rehabilitation assistant, you should have studied at least four semesters in the occupational therapy program.

We place great emphasis on good treatment, as it is the foundation of patient-centered work. By showing respect, being attentive, and listening actively, you create safe and trusting relationships. Your ability to motivate and inspire is central to rehabilitation and strengthens the patient's own drive for long-term progress. Since we work in teams, collaboration and a positive work environment are crucial. You take responsibility, organize, and prioritize your work independently to ensure effective care with high quality for each patient.
