The Child Health Center (BVC) Tellus is part of the Family Center Tellus. Here, BVC collaborates with open preschool and social services to provide comprehensive support to children and families. The team consists of nurses and specialist-trained doctors who work health-promoting and preventive through the child health care program until school start. A family center is unique in that we who work here can more easily collaborate and find solutions for various needs. This facilitates for children and guardians to quickly and easily get help when the need for a little extra support may arise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a district nurse or pediatric nurse, you will work health-promoting and preventive according to the child health care basic program. You support parents, monitor children's development, and make home visits to newborns. You work independently and have the opportunity to manage your schedule. You lead parent groups, carry out vaccinations, and participate in medical consultations together with a colleague and are offered continuous professional development.

We also offer support to first-time parents and new parents of multiple children with the first child born in Sweden through Trygga Tellus. This means that you as a nurse will meet children and guardians together with a social worker and preschool educator during certain visits. The purpose of the collaboration is to create good relationships and promote the child's development, physical and mental health, and strengthen parents in their parental role.

Together, we work to provide families with a good reception and high quality in child health care. With us, you will play an important role in developing the operations and contributing to a stable and well-functioning child health center with the best interests of children and families in focus. You will have close collaboration with the Health Center (VC) Tornet in Landskrona and receive continuous supervision via the Child and Parental Health Psychology Clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare and have further education as a district nurse or pediatric nurse. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale are required. It is a merit if you have experience working at BVC or family centers previously.

You as a person are development-oriented, driven, and have an easy time collaborating with both colleagues and families. You have good communication skills and create security in meetings with children and parents. At the same time, you are structured and independent in your work and take responsibility for contributing to stable and quality-oriented child health care. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability for the position.
