We are looking for someone who wants to work as a resident physician in child and adolescent psychiatry (Bup) in Skåne, based at our unit in Kristianstad.

The Bup area of Kristianstad provides outpatient and intermediate care in Ystad, Hässleholm, and Kristianstad. The shared inpatient care is located in Malmö. The services at Bup in Kristianstad consist of traditional outpatient care, infant and toddler services, and intermediate care.

The care is provided in interdisciplinary specialized teams with staff who have extensive experience and broad competence within the field. Bup is in a development phase where work with group activities has been identified as an important treatment opportunity at the units.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a resident physician, you will be offered clinical training under supervision, structured supervision discussions, courses, and seminars to achieve the objectives outlined in the residency program.

Professional development is also offered through regular teaching, including joint residency days (three to four times per semester). We have an engaged study director and experienced specialists who provide supervision. Additionally, there is a broad competence among other staff to gain knowledge about various tasks related to patient assessment, diagnostics, and pharmacological treatment.

During your training, you will serve at different units within Bup in Region Skåne, including rotations and service in adult psychiatry, pediatrics, and addiction care. On-call duties in the combined child and adolescent psychiatry on-call line in Malmö are also included.

The structure of the position is planned in consultation with the unit manager, area manager, study director, and supervisor. The content follows the objectives established to achieve specialist competence in child and adolescent psychiatry. QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed physician with the authority to practice in Swedish healthcare and who wish to become a specialist in child and adolescent psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working with children and families, and preferably also from work within psychiatry.

As a person, you have excellent collaboration skills, a good attitude, and an interest and commitment to developing care with the patient in focus. You naturally contribute to a continued good work climate. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
