About the workplace:

The elderly care in Sorsele municipality consists of two special accommodations focused on dementia, Åbacken and Utsikten. There is a special accommodation Norrskenet and a short-term accommodation, Vintergatan. The home care service in Sorsele municipality consists of four groups placed in different parts of the municipality, two groups are in Sorsele community, one group in Ammarnäs, and one group in Gargnäs. Together with all care staff, the medical unit works with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Sorsele municipality also has an LSS accommodation, Napoleongården.

Job responsibilities:

We strive for meaningfulness in the daily lives of our users. The tasks consist of helping the elderly based on their individual needs such as personal care, social activation, and service efforts. It may also involve delegated health and medical care tasks.

Education, experience, and personal qualities:

You have a good demeanor and are easy to collaborate with. Clarity in your communication is important. You should think positively and forward, keeping the best interests of the elderly in focus and working solution-focused.

Competence/qualifications - requirements:

It is important to enjoy working both independently and in a group and have a good ability to assess and handle varying situations. As a person, you are positive, creative, action-oriented, and solution-focused. We prefer that you are a nursing assistant, have experience in healthcare, or other healthcare education. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

If you are under 18 years old, you are also welcome to apply. We also have a need for non-care staff to contribute with activities during the summer, such as walks, playing games, or baking a cake.

Duration/work hours:

The working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, including weekdays and weekends.

The positions are hourly or summer substitutes. Selection is ongoing, and positions may be filled before the application deadline.
