You will operate at the intersection of groundbreaking innovation and operational reality. By building and optimizing the AI & data solutions that drive the next generation of defense technology, you enable intelligent capabilities in everything from the Gripen fighter aircraft and advanced sensors to the future's autonomous underwater vehicles.

Your Role

As a Senior AI Engineer with us, you will have overall responsibility for designing, developing, and deploying intelligent services. Just like at the leading tech companies, you will work closely with both technical experts and end-users to create seamless AI solutions. With us, you will help create the future's autonomous ecosystem that can act, plan, and collaborate to solve complex missions.

Your Focus Areas:

• Agent-driven products: Design and develop autonomous agents and multi-agent systems that can make decisions in complex and changing environments.
• Model training & optimization: Responsible for the lifecycle of models, from data preparation to training and evaluation. You will adapt models to perform optimally in our specific domains.
• State-of-the-art hardware: Work with the most powerful infrastructure on the market, e.g., Nvidia GB300 GPUs, to enable large-scale training and inference of AI models.
• Agent workflows: Implement modern frameworks for agent orchestration to automate and improve both internal processes and our end products.
• Cloud & edge: Build robust cloud solutions that can seamlessly distribute intelligence all the way out to the edge, where decisions are made in real-time.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone driven by building products that actually 'do things'. You have a strong engineering background and a passion for translating the latest AI technology into practical products that deliver real value.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Programming experience: You are a skilled coder (Python, Go, C++ or equivalent) with an understanding of both backend and frontend technologies.
• Cloud knowledge: Experience building and scaling applications in modern cloud environments with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Curiosity about AI agents: You are aware of (or want to learn about) the latest techniques in LLM orchestration, tool usage for agents, and autonomous loops.
• Hardware interest: You understand the importance of computing power and how GPUs are used to optimize various types of solutions.
• Degree: Master's or engineering degree in computer science, engineering physics, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Training & fine-tuning: Experience fine-tuning models (e.g., via LoRA/QLoRA) and using post-training techniques such as RLHF, DPO, or model distillation.
• Model optimization: Knowledge of quantization and techniques to make models more efficient for edge deployment.
• Security & Compliance: Experience in cybersecurity, compliance work, or building systems with high requirements for privacy, sovereignty, and robustness.
• Agent frameworks: Experience with tools like LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or reinforcement learning (RL).

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
