We are looking for a specialist who wants to help establish a common API Management platform (PaaS) in Azure. In an environment with both on-premise platforms (e.g., event/messaging and API management) and RedHat OpenShift, you will contribute to a cohesive offering for multiple business units and development teams. The focus is on creating a modern, user-friendly, and secure platform with a high degree of automation, self-service, and good developer experience.

• Collaborate with architects and contribute expertise in the development of solution design
• Establish and configure Azure API Management (APIM) according to needs and guidelines
• Build and document reusable CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions for API development and deployment
• Ensure a high level of self-service and developer experience for development teams
• Implement security and traffic mechanisms, monitoring, and API guidelines
• Support migration from on-premise to cloud-based API management
• Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to knowledge transfer

• Solid experience in establishing and managing API Management platforms in Azure (APIM) in larger organizations
• Deep technical expertise in Azure, especially APIM, as well as related services (e.g., Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Key Vault)
• Experience in designing and implementing solutions with Application Gateway for load balancing, security (WAF), SSL management, and global traffic management of APIs
• Experience in designing and implementing mechanisms and processes for developer experience and self-service, including API configuration and publishing, CI/CD pipelines, and automation, as well as repository structure and version control
• Knowledge of API portals, security and traffic management (authentication, authorization, rate limiting, etc.), monitoring/logging, and API guidelines/best practices
• Good understanding of information security and compliance in cloud environments

• Experience with hybrid environments and integration between on-premise and cloud-based platforms
• Experience from larger organizations, preferably within finance or insurance
• Relevant certification in Azure and/or API Management
