We are looking for a specialist/architect in Azure API Management and integration platforms. You will be a key person in establishing a common API Management platform in Azure (PaaS) that will gather a clear offering for several business units and development teams. The focus is on creating a modern, user-friendly, and secure platform with a high degree of automation and self-service, in conjunction with existing platforms in a RedHat OpenShift environment.

• Collaborate with architects and contribute expertise in developing target images and solution design
• Establish and configure Azure API Management according to needs and guidelines
• Design and implement solutions with Application Gateway for load balancing, WAF, SSL management, and global traffic management of APIs
• Build and document reusable CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions for API development and deployment
• Ensure a high level of self-service and developer experience, including API configuration/publication and version management
• Implement security and traffic mechanisms, monitoring/logging, and API guidelines/best practices
• Support migration and transition from on-premise to cloud-based API management
• Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to knowledge transfer

• Solid experience in establishing and managing API Management platforms in Azure (APIM) in larger organizations
• Deep technical expertise in Azure, especially APIM, and related services (e.g., Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Key Vault)
• Experience in designing and implementing mechanisms and processes for developer experience and self-service
• Knowledge of API portals, security and traffic management (authentication, authorization, rate limiting), monitoring/logging, and API guidelines/best practices
• Ability to abstract technical complexity and create user-friendly solutions for development teams
• Good understanding of information security and compliance in cloud environments

• Experience with hybrid environments and integration between on-premise and cloud-based platforms
• Experience from larger organizations, preferably in finance or insurance
• Relevant certification in Azure and/or API Management
