Our Operations
Do you want to work with analytical chemistry in an environment where research and medical innovation meet?
The PET Center within the Department of Imaging and Functional Medicine at Uppsala University Hospital conducts high-tech diagnostics using positron emission tomography (PET), which involves injecting radioactively labeled drugs into the patient and studying their distribution in the body using a PET camera. The PET Center has extensive production of radioactively labeled drugs, which are very short-lived and require strict quality control.
Your Mission
As an analytical chemist with us, you will work alongside other analytical chemists, production chemists, and quality managers. Your mission will be to:
- Regularly perform quality control of radioactively labeled drugs using HPLC, GC, TLC, and IC
- Conduct basic service and participate in troubleshooting issues with instruments and liaise with suppliers
- Validate and qualify new equipment
- Develop and validate new analytical methods
- Investigate deviations and drive Change Control (CC) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
Your Qualifications
A university degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or equivalent. Good practical experience with chromatographic methods such as HPLC and GC. You must be proficient in both Swedish and English, written and spoken. Experience in investigation, validation, and working according to GMP is an advantage.
Your Competence
We are looking for someone with strong problem-solving skills and an open mind for new technologies and working methods. You should be flexible and easily adapt to new situations. You should have a stable and calm demeanor, even in stressful environments. Previous experience in improvement work is an advantage.
