Welcome to develop with us. We are currently looking for a Field Assistant for Haninge Municipality.

Fieldwork is a specialized function within social work that is based on the trust of young people and voluntary relationships. Field assistants work proactively, monitoring the environment and promoting safety, as well as providing specific interventions. The field group in Haninge consists of eight field assistants, one of whom works as the team leader. Field assistants move among youth in the evenings, weekends, and also during the day. The field group builds relationships with youth based on voluntariness, trust, and respect.

Your mission
In your role as a field assistant, you will work on relationship-building with young people in streets and squares, schools, youth centers, and online. As a field assistant, you will promote safety and implement interventions within universal, selective, and indicated prevention. You will work to strengthen young people's hope for the future and empowerment, as well as support opportunities for change. The role of a field assistant requires you to operate in environments where young people begin to shape their independence and adult identity. This development process means that young people are confronted with different values and norms, where a lack of positive role models increases the risk of vulnerability. The entire field group therefore works proactively, preventing violence, critically addressing norms, and facilitating approaches that create opportunities for change among youth. You will collaborate with youth centers, social services, other authorities, guardians, and others working with young people. Good parental contact is therefore an important part of the work.

What we are looking for in you
We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker, social pedagogue, or has other relevant education. You should have experience working with young people. It is an advantage if you have experience working with young people in vulnerable life situations. You must have a B driver's license. You should enjoy working proactively in youth environments during evenings and weekends, with 3 out of 5 shifts being evening shifts and working every other weekend. It is beneficial if you understand how to work in a politically governed organization. You should easily build relationships with young people, important adults for the youth, and partners. Experience leading and facilitating groups is an advantage.

You should be secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You should work well in a team and be socially active. You have an interest, experience, and knowledge of the social media that young people use. You understand the importance of drug prevention work.

You express a professional and positive attitude in your work and always act in accordance with decisions made. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
