School Counselor Needed Immediately for Primary School in Upplands-Bro

We are seeking an engaged and experienced school counselor for a primary school with immediate start. The assignment is divided into two parts: In the spring: A more comprehensive assignment focusing on investigative work. In the autumn: The position will transition to approximately 20% (one day a week).

As a school counselor, you will work with:

• Participation in EHT (Student Health Team)
• Investigative work
• Student cases requiring quick handling
• Collaboration with school management and other staff

You are an important part of the school's student health work and contribute with psychosocial competence in preventive, promotional, and remedial efforts.

Your Background

You will be part of the school's student health team. To be considered for this position, you must be a qualified social worker, preferably with experience working in schools. Good knowledge of the Social Services Act and other relevant laws is required.

Examples of Job Responsibilities:

• Working with students in groups for preventive purposes or in special problem situations
• Support and motivational conversations with individual students and possibly with the student's guardians
• Supporting students with special needs due to physical, mental, and social difficulties
• Being available for advice and consultation
• Collaborating with social services, youth clinics, police, etc.
• Being part of the school's EHT
• Participating in the establishment of action plans for EHT
