We are now looking for a support pedagogue for LSS housing within Skärholmen's district administration.

The position is full-time and involves a role towards two group homes located in Sätra center and Bredäng. The target group is group 1 according to LSS – individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities and challenging behaviors.

Your role

As a support pedagogue with us, you are both present in the daily work and a driving force in development work. With us, you become a key person who always puts the individual at the center.

You will:

• Strengthen the work with independence and participation in everyday life
• Develop the operations regarding pedagogical methods, such as clear pedagogical approaches and AAC, which also includes emotional regulation and other communicative strategies
• Inspire, guide, and support colleagues through supervision and pedagogical support
• Develop routines, working methods, and quality in both operations
• Contribute to a work climate where joy, respect, and engagement characterize every day
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and analyze working methods and approaches in workgroups
• Perform care work and medication management according to delegation
• Develop the work of establishing and following up implementation plans and ensuring users' participation in these parts
• Guide colleagues on ethical dilemmas and pedagogical approaches using reflection as a working method
• Collaborate with relatives, representatives, case managers, and others

As a support pedagogue with us, you have a clear user focus and work for participation, self-determination, and independence. You work with methods such as clear pedagogical approaches, low-arousal responses, and motivational conversations.

You have a central role in the development work of the operations, both at the individual and group level. The assignment includes planning, implementing, leading, and following up on the pedagogical work in close collaboration with the unit manager, support assistants, and support staff. You are also responsible for introducing and guiding new employees in the pedagogical working method.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for a certified support pedagogue with completed YH education (200 credits) in the disability field, where the degree can be verified with certificates or grades.

You have experience working as a support pedagogue in similar operations and experience in development and change work. You have experience with and are used to working with challenging behavior and can adapt the work to individual needs. You have experience with goal-oriented work using various methods and approaches such as low-arousal responses, mapping, and clear pedagogical approaches, and can express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing.

You should have training in low-arousal responses and be certified in the City of Stockholm's educational framework.

If you also have documented experience in guiding colleagues in working with documentation, establishing implementation plans, and following routines in a structured manner, it is meritorious.

You work independently and structured, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and clearly communicate frameworks and working methods to the workgroup. You are driven by pedagogical development, take responsibility in your assignment, and work purposefully to achieve the goals of the operations.

Other

To work within our units, you need to present an extract from the Police's criminal record. You order the extract yourself, and it is valid for one year.
