Welcome to develop with us. The Elderly Care Authority is tasked with investigating and assessing needs as well as following up on services for residents over 65 years old.
We are now looking for a colleague for a temporary position as a transport service officer.
We are an authority unit that performs our duties in accordance with current legislation and in accordance with the Elderly Administration's delegation order and guidelines. Our team includes assistance officers, housing coordinators, fee officers, housing adaptation grant officers, and transport service officers. Daily work is led by two team leaders and a unit manager.
In our unit, you will be surrounded by professional colleagues who are committed to conducting a legally secure authority exercise, carefully managing taxpayers' money, and providing good accessibility and service.
Your mission
Your mission is primarily to receive and investigate applications for transport services according to the Transport Services Act. The law aims to ensure that people with permanent disabilities are given the opportunity to travel with specially arranged transport when they are unable to use regular public transport.
As a transport service officer, you will largely plan your workday independently. The investigative work consists of reviewing documentation, conducting investigative conversations with applicants, and writing investigative reports. You need to enjoy being independent in your investigative work and also have a good sense of structure and planning.
You will meet people of all ages with different backgrounds and disabilities. Therefore, we see that you have a genuine interest in people and an empathetic approach.
This position is a temporary role until 2026-10-31.
Your qualifications
- Degree in social work or equivalent education.
- Good collaboration skills and the ability to relate to others in a responsive manner.
- You work independently and in a structured way by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work.
- You are relationship-building and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations.
Your competencies
- You are self-driven, results-oriented, and have the ability to make decisions.
- You are good at taking your own initiatives.
- You have a solution-oriented, engaged approach and provide a good reception to those you meet.
- You have good collaboration skills and a sense of service.
- You need to have a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
Other: A driving license (B) is desirable.
We require a criminal record extract from the individuals we employ.
