JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you want to make a real difference for residents and businesses in the Sätra district?

As a local development leader, you will play an important role in turning ideas into reality at both strategic and operational levels and contribute to a more inclusive and safe local community.

The District Lift is an initiative to strengthen security and participation, create meetings between people, and contribute to more equal conditions. Through collaboration and local engagement, we work to reduce segregation and strengthen the area's long-term development.

The Sätra district has a strong association life and a well-functioning district network. In your assignment, you will build on this engagement where you will work closely with residents, entrepreneurs, local businesses, and actors in civil society such as associations, faith communities, and interest organizations to develop the area. You will have both a strategic and an operational role in the local implementation and be an inspirer, enabler, guide, and coordinator.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Coordinate the local work within the District Lift.
• Create and strengthen relationships and networks with residents, associations, and other local actors.
• Act as support and sounding board for ideas and initiatives in the district.
• Facilitate planned activities.
• Coordinate collaboration between civil society and the municipality's operations.
• Prepare and present materials for decisions and dialogue with politicians and officials.
• Follow up and document the work and contribute to learning and development.

A large part of the work takes place on-site in the Sätra district, where you will have your main workplace. You will work closely with the project management for the District Lift, coordinated by the unit for social sustainability.

The position is a project employment for one year from the start date, with the possibility of extension.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a strong interest and commitment to community development and social sustainability.

To be considered for the position, you have:

• A university degree in social-related fields or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position.
• Experience in leading, coordinating, or managing assignments.
• Experience working in social issues such as participation and influence, social sustainability, public health issues, community planning, or similar.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.

It is an advantage for the position if you have a B driver's license and if you can communicate in more languages besides Swedish.
