Night Patrol Staff Wanted for Summer!

We are now looking for staff for our night patrol for the summer! Are you a trained nursing assistant who enjoys working nights in a varied job? Then this position might be for you.

Support in ordinary housing is an area within the department for the Elderly and Disabilities, tasked with providing support and assistance to elderly individuals. Units included in Support in Ordinary Housing are home care, night and alarm patrol, safe return home, and a dementia team. We have about 600 employed nursing assistants and caregivers. Together, we work to provide our clients with the best care and service.

The night patrol provides services for users both over and under 65 years old with Night Assistance or digital supervision as assessed support. The work includes everything from simple physical or digital supervision visits to more extensive care needs. The night patrol does not have medical responsibility, as this is managed by other providers. We have 17 employees who support each other, a team leader, and a unit manager. We operate from Jakobsbergs centrum and the work takes place throughout Järfälla municipality!

We are now looking for several nursing assistants with a driver's license who want to work with us in the night patrol team!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The night patrol provides assistance to individuals according to a planning schedule that includes the services the person has been granted. Continuity is important so that users feel secure in knowing when and by whom the services are provided. Since the work is performed in the user's home, it is important to be able to adapt accordingly with flexibility in both professional interaction and great sensitivity to the user's condition. Your assignment includes being a Fixed Care Contact where you are responsible for, among other things, implementation plans in collaboration with your colleagues in the team you work in. You will also have other administrative tasks such as ongoing social documentation, handover to other home care providers, collaboration with the Alarm Patrol, etc. Smoking and pets may be present with some users.

The night patrol has five car teams operating every night, and you always work in pairs with users, except for two solo-operated vehicles where one works alone (some visits are double-staffed where the solo-operated vehicles meet at the user). Collaboration with a solution-focused approach and good communication within the team is an important aspect of our operations. The night patrol shares premises with the Alarm Patrol at night, and collaboration between the groups is important.

We work on a rolling eight-week schedule with work every other weekend. Working hours are from 21:30 to 07:00. You are also expected to participate in developing the operations by reporting deviations and being a good employee with a professional attitude in all contact areas. We have staff meetings once a month. You work together in the team based on jointly set goals, routines, and laws and regulations for the users' safety! The night patrol is a communication-intensive unit that requires self-leadership and that you are used to working with transparency and adherence to rules and routines.

The night patrol is star-rated according to the dementia center, and the employees are trained in MHFA (Mental Health First Aid). We work with Lifecare Mobile Care and Lifecare providers.
