Brommagården's care and nursing home is a dementia facility with 36 places for people with cognitive impairment.

Traneberg's care and nursing home is a dementia facility with 44 places for people with cognitive impairment.

Our operations are based on holistic thinking, openness, respectful treatment, and responsibility. The elderly's integrity and decision-making rights are obvious prerequisites for our work so that the elderly feel involved in their daily lives and in their care. We place great importance on a good reception of the elderly and their relatives in various meetings. We work in multidisciplinary teams and take part in the elderly's life stories to create security, meaning, and a sense of context. We strive for good relationships with relatives and see them as a valuable resource in our work, thus placing great emphasis on a good reception of the elderly and their relatives.

Your role

You will work in a team in close collaboration with a physiotherapist, nurses, and other care staff. Your position is divided between Brommagården's and Traneberg's care and nursing homes. Together with your physiotherapist colleague, you will contribute to ensuring that our residents receive person-centered, function-preserving care. You will provide guidance to care staff to support a health-promoting approach.

Your duties include the usual tasks for an occupational therapist such as ADL assessments, follow-ups, prescriptions, and testing of assistive devices, assistive device management, and participation in walking and transfer training. In your role as an occupational therapist, you will be responsible for assessments, actions, documentation, as well as guidance and training of care staff, both independently and together with colleagues and other professional categories. Guidance of students may also be included in your duties.

Your competence and experience

You are a licensed occupational therapist, preferably with a few years of work experience as an occupational therapist in elderly care.

As an occupational therapist, it is important that you enjoy working in a team. You find it easy to collaborate with different types of professional categories and with relatives. You are secure and stable and have the ability to see the holistic perspective in the operation when you work. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You have an openness to improvements and want to contribute to our common development. You have a pedagogical ability and can teach if needed.

The employment is temporary, a special fixed-term employment until December 31, 2026. The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
