Nursing Leader in Pharmacology and Patient Safety (Step 5) at AnOpIVA, Södertälje Hospital:

As a nursing leader (Step 5) in pharmacological nursing and patient safety, you will drive pharmacology from a patient perspective for good and safe nursing. You will have a cross-functional responsibility for routines, training, and supporting staff in pharmacology and patient safety. You will be responsible for the nursing part of the medication module in TakeCare together with the medication responsible nurse in each unit within AnOpIVA, the medication unit, and the section manager. You will also collaborate with the medication unit and the pain clinic on other issues. The overall assignment within the area is 20%, while the remaining time you will work clinically as a specialist nurse in the recovery unit.

We are looking for someone who wants to ensure the quality of pharmacological nursing and patient safety

For all actors/professions working in a care context with the aim of creating safe patient care. Your task includes strengthening and developing nursing for the patient through quality assurance of routines and methods, as well as advocating for an evidence-based approach and a good working environment.

Your personal qualities:

This role requires you to be self-driven in your work as you will be leading and developing the area of pharmacological nursing and patient safety. You will lead, educate, and collaborate across the hospital, which requires you to be confident in your leadership role and communicate clearly to ensure that the other party understands your message. We see that you, as an applicant, take into account the whole and consider the entire operation when you act and make decisions.

Your qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Licensed nurse with the right to practice within Swedish healthcare.
  • Specialist training in intensive care and/or anesthesia.
  • Clinical experience in the specialty (at least 5 years).
  • Care pedagogy/mentorship training (7.5 credits)
  • Competence defined by the organization for the position, including competence in intensive care and/or anesthesia, pharmacological nursing, and patient safety.

Meritorious:

  • Previous work experience in pre- and post-operative care.

Employment form:

Permanent position, full-time daytime. 80% clinically as a specialist nurse in recovery and 20% time for the assignment.
