Description
We are looking for a registered nurse for a permanent full-time position in our well-staffed and experienced care team.
Ward 51 is a general psychiatric department located at S:t Göran's Hospital area in Kungsholmen, Stockholm. We have specialized competence for patients with personality disorders, neuropsychiatric disabilities, compulsions, and anxiety disorders while also caring for a wide range of patients. We actively work based on Safewards for a safer care environment. The department has 17 beds, of which 2 are reserved for self-chosen admissions.
Nursing plays a central role in patient care where we focus on enhancing the ability for self-care. We work in interprofessional teams where you as a nurse have a leading and coordinating role. Your tasks will include leading the team, administering medication, conducting support conversations, being responsible for admissions/discharges of patients in self-chosen admissions, and coordinating contact with outpatient care and municipalities. The department actively works for a student-friendly environment, including a structured training model based on peer-learning.
Qualifications
We are looking for a licensed nurse with an interest in psychiatric nursing. You enjoy development and thrive with both structure and variation in your work. It is an advantage if you have experience in psychiatry and/or are specialized in psychiatric care. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where qualities such as teamwork and being unpretentious are fundamental.
Conditions
Permanently employed. Full-time shifts day/evening (38.15h/week). Fixed rolling 10-week schedule with duty 2 weekends out of 5. Start date: by agreement.

- background checks will be applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional license. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
