About Us

The area of child, youth, and family health is a cross-county operation that today consists of over 200 employees and includes services at midwifery clinics, child health centers, youth clinics, first line youth services, family centers, child and family support, and the speech therapy unit.

Together, we provide health care to the target groups of the operation with a focus on preventive health care.

First Line Youth is a collaboration between Region Värmland and the municipalities in the county and consists of several outpatient clinics at the primary care level in the region. First Line Youth receives children and adolescents aged 6–20 with mild to moderate mental health issues and their relatives.

We are now looking for a social worker for First Line Youth West. The operation is located in facilities in Arvika, Säffle, Eda, and Årjäng. With us, a team of solution-focused practitioners with various competencies and experiences work together; psychologists, social workers, and administrative staff. In addition to visits to the clinic, we also offer telephone counseling and video calls.

Now we are looking for you who want to help us provide the best possible care to children and adolescents in Värmland with mild to moderate mental health issues.

Job Description

Our main mission is to provide interventions to children and adolescents aged 6-20 with mild to moderate mental health issues, where the interventions are based on a holistic view of the young person's life situation. As a social worker, you will work with assessments, psychoeducation, and treatment in groups or individually. Part of your role as a social worker is to contribute the psychosocial perspective to the team.

In addition to individual interventions, you will actively work to facilitate cohesive support in cases where schools, social services, and First Line Youth need to collaborate. The work is carried out independently, and supervision is offered as support in the work. Since we have clinics in several locations, you will need to work at up to two clinics.

The position is a one-year temporary contract.

Qualifications

You are a trained social worker or have another university-level education that is deemed equivalent. In addition to education, we wish that you have experience in treatment work with children, youth, and parenting. A driver's license is required as travel is included in the job, during working hours with a company car.

You should preferably have experience working in health care in an independent position and be accustomed to analyzing, reflecting, documenting, and conveying assessments of mental health issues in speech and writing.

The work requires the ability to assess the needs of children and adolescents and, based on that, plan and initiate support and treatment. Great importance is placed on the ability to collaborate, but also the ability to take independent responsibility in the work. We want you to contribute with joy at work and take responsibility for both patients and colleagues and the operation. Additionally, you are solution-focused and open to the development of the operation.
