Welcome to ESS Sales! We are a team of over 70 people spread across the Nordic region with a common goal - to create world-class meetings!
We are now looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) for ESS Group who wants to help build and further develop our central KAM organization. The role is a key position in our B2B team and focuses on our most strategic customers within meetings, conferences, and events.

About the KAM roleAs a Key Account Manager, you have overall responsibility for your customer portfolio and owning the customer relationship through proactive but above all long-term sales. You own the relationship, identify needs and potential, drive the dialogue strategically, and thereby generate qualified business opportunities for ESS Group's destinations - from a holistic perspective.
Your focus is on larger, more complex meetings & events, and most of your time will be spent in contact with customers through meetings, calls, and inspiring presentations. We think creatively, are flexible, and always ready to meet our customers' wishes to create good business for the house.
You belong to a larger team at ESS Sales, and with you included, the central KAM team consists of 5 people. You all also maintain close dialogue with the local sales teams of the destinations and our central inside salespeople to ensure a consistent, high quality in both customer dialogue, internal handover, and delivery. This is how we create loyal customers and ensure that the right business ends up at the right destination.
Among other things, you will be expected to:
Build and follow up Account Plans with goals, activities, and growth plans.
Identify customer needs and create qualified leads for the organization.
Coordinate business involving multiple destinations.
Work proactively with customer meetings, follow-ups, and business development while owning and developing the relationship with your KAM customers.
Work towards clear goals and KPIs related to leads and customer turnover.
Create customer events and participate in and conduct activities during the day & evening.
Be active in Social Selling via platforms like LinkedIn.
The role requires a strong business drive, high structure, and the ability to handle complex business across multiple destinations. Therefore, we are looking for a very senior Key Account Manager with extensive experience in strategic sales and qualified KAM processing.
You have spent several years engaging in relationship-based sales at a high level, where your attentiveness has created a deep understanding of the customer's business and identified their needs, potential, and growth opportunities over time.
To succeed and thrive with us, we see that you have:Solid and documented experience in relationship-based B2B sales at a strategic level as a Key Account Manager or equivalent.
Business focus but are relationship-oriented with a very good ability to quickly build trust.
Great business understanding with a high degree of structure and comfortable in senior dialogue and decision-making.
Experience working with needs analysis, value-creating dialogue, and customer strategies.
Appreciate innovation, agility, and therefore a fast pace.
It is a huge plus if you already have established customer relationships. In the role, you will be assigned potential KAM customers but not a ready-made customer portfolio.

Information about the positionEmployment type: Full-time, permanent with a 6-month probationary period. Salary: By agreement. Work location: In this position, you will be based in Stockholm or Gothenburg, but a fair amount of travel is expected. Start date: As soon as possible, but it is more important that we are the right match.
