E.ON in Sweden is part of the international energy group E.ON SE, headquartered in Essen, Germany. The group employs around 70,000 people in 17 countries. In Sweden, around 2,100 dedicated employees work. Our Nordic headquarters is located in Malmö. In Sweden, we deliver electricity, heating, and smart energy solutions to over one million households and businesses. E.ON's role is to take responsibility and drive development forward, enabling more people to transition. With our investments and our customers' willingness to contribute, we work to continue electrifying society and meet future energy needs.

Welcome to us at E.ON – and become part of the energy transition. In collaboration with our customers and partners, we ensure that electricity and heat are produced, used, and recycled smarter. If you have passion and believe in the power of working together, E.ON is the place for you.

About us
E.ON's local network business is in an important development phase. We are responsible for the electricity grid that delivers electricity to one million customers every day across Sweden, and we need to continue developing, strengthening, and managing it in line with the energy transition.

Within the Projects & Facilities department, we drive the expansion, investments, and long-term management of local networks. Our mission is clear: to ensure capacity, availability, and delivery reliability – today and for the future.

We are now looking for a Group Manager for Kalmar. This role is for you who want to take clear local overall responsibility while also being part of shaping how we take the next step from good to even better. This is a key role in a socially important operation, where you can combine local mandate with national collaboration.

About the position
As Group Manager Local Network Kalmar, you will lead a team of 10 employees consisting of project managers, maintenance engineers, documentation engineers, and project administrators.

Together, you are responsible for expanding, managing, and developing the electricity grid in the area. You are responsible for developing both people and working methods and creating the right conditions for the team to succeed.

You have overall responsibility for the local network in your geographical area. This means ensuring high availability in the grid and that our investment projects are delivered according to plan, budget, and technical requirements – including correct documentation. You are also responsible for ensuring that the electricity grid is managed in an optimal and sustainable manner. As a leader, you are present in the operation, with regular visits to project and maintenance work in the field. You drive change work with a focus on development, digitalization, and optimization, ensuring that your area develops in line with our national direction.

The role involves broad collaboration responsibility both internally and with our local contractors. You also represent E.ON externally in dialogue with larger customers and municipalities in the area. You drive your area with strong local ownership while being part of a larger national organization where we work for harmonization and common working methods.

Your experiences
We are looking for someone who is confident in their leadership and motivated to take responsibility in a long-term and socially important operation. You have experience leading teams, either as a formal manager or through informal leadership where you have created direction, engagement, and progress together with others. If you also have experience from electricity network operations or other critical infrastructure, we see it as an advantage.

You have a strong customer focus and let the purpose of the operation and the needs of the customers guide your priorities. You are used to translating strategy into concrete action and creating clarity around goals, responsibilities, and expectations. At the same time, you help the team see the whole picture – how each part contributes to delivery, quality, and long-term sustainability.

You are a leader who actively promotes collaboration. By connecting the right competencies, inviting different perspectives, and creating participation, you build a culture where people feel trust, dare to take responsibility, and contribute to common results. You believe that ownership and transparency create better collaboration – and you lead by example. You are used to working with budgets, follow-ups, and financial responsibility and feel comfortable in dialogue with contractors, municipalities, and other external stakeholders. In a complex operation, you work structured and long-term, even when conditions change.

You do not need to be a technical specialist in every detail – we have high competence in the team. The most important thing is that you can create direction, structure, and security in the organization and contribute to stable and sustainable development over time.

What is it like with us?
The team in Kalmar is relatively new and consists of a nice mix of experience and curiosity. It is an engaged and responsible team that has come together well and delivers with high quality. You will also be part of a larger management team with strong cohesion and an unpretentious culture. Here we help each other, share knowledge, and drive common issues forward – with respect for each other's different perspectives and areas of responsibility.

Your manager Emma believes in open, transparent, and modern leadership where social responsibility, safety, and customer focus are central parts of the culture.

At E.ON, we actively work with inclusion – it is crucial to drive the energy transition forward. We want you to feel welcome! We strive to create a safe work environment with meaningful tasks and good opportunities for development. We continuously challenge ourselves to create a welcoming workplace where we hope you will thrive.

We work for a more sustainable energy society, but it is equally important that our employees have the conditions to care for their personal sustainability. Therefore, we offer good benefits for you to feel good and have a good balance between work and leisure. Some of these include a shorter working time that is higher than the industry standard, health insurance, free healthcare, and more!

Warm welcome to apply and join us on the path to a sustainable society! The application deadline is March 6.
