ABOUT THE CLIENT

We now have the opportunity to offer a fantastic assistance assignment where you can help our client in Linköping. Our client is a 40-year-old man living with his parents south of Linköping.

He has a CP disability and needs assistance with various tasks around the clock. At night, he uses a BiPAP machine to support his breathing. Continuous monitoring is required when the machine is in use, which makes it important that you always feel alert and well-rested before your shift. You also need to be comfortable being awake and alert throughout the night.

The work also includes tasks such as transfers, personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, as well as assistance with meals. You will also handle lifting, stoma care, and assist with manual and electric wheelchairs.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The work is scheduled during both day and night, with night shifts requiring awake work. The employment rate will vary between 50–100%, and we welcome your preferences regarding the extent. For the position, we would also like you to be available to work extra if needed, sometimes at short notice.

It is important that you as an assistant are calm, secure, responsible, flexible, and positive. You need to be attentive and able to pick up on small signals as the client’s verbal communication may be difficult to understand.

Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities. Education and/or experience in care and personal assistance is an advantage, but the most important thing is personal suitability.

To be considered for the position, you need to:

• You need to have access to a car to get to and from work.
• Be smoke-free.
• Be able to work in a home with cats.
• Be able to present a valid extract from the Police criminal record.
