Råbyskolan in Bro is located close to nature. It is an adapted school with both primary and secondary education. The secondary school program is the individual program for the adapted upper secondary school. We have about 82 students at the school and approximately 42 employees. We focus on early interventions, appropriate support, safety work, and welcome a dialogue with you as a guardian.
Do you want to make a real difference for students with significant needs? We are looking for an experienced and secure special educator who is passionate about creating accessible learning environments and has solid expertise in supporting staff working with students with severe behavioral issues and outwardly aggressive behaviors.
With us, you will become a key person in the school's student health work and an important resource in strengthening staff competence, developing working methods, and contributing to a safe and learning school environment.
As a special educator in our adapted school, you work both strategically and closely with the operations. You provide guidance, conduct pedagogical investigations, contribute to systematic quality work, and collaborate with the school's staff to ensure that students receive the right support – every day.
You will be part of an engaged student health team and have a central role in working with students with extensive support needs.
Your tasks
- Provide structured guidance to staff working with students with challenging and outwardly aggressive behaviors.
- Support teams in low-arousal responses, relationship-building strategies, and working in emotionally charged situations.
- Conduct pedagogical assessments, behavioral analyses, and contribute to individualized support measures.
- Work on developing accessible learning environments – both physical, pedagogical, and social.
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary teams within student health as well as with guardians and external actors.
- Contribute to the school's development work and working methods related to safety, study peace, and responses.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Special educator degree with a focus on intellectual disabilities and special educational competence.
- Experience from adapted schools.
- Documented experience working with students with severe behavioral issues and outwardly aggressive behaviors.
- Experience in guiding, mentoring, and developing staff competence.
- Good knowledge of NPF, behavioral support, and adaptations in learning environments.
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Competence in AAC (e.g., TAKK, PECS, PODD).
- Training in low-arousal responses, Studio 3, NVC, or equivalent.
- Experience with PBS or other behavioral support models.
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and complex student cases.

About the position
The position is permanent. A probationary period may be applied. Start date according to agreement.
