Do you want to take the next step in your purchasing career and work in a global environment where you can combine strategy, business acumen, and supplier development? We are now looking for a Senior Buyer for Direct Material for an exciting consulting assignment with a leading player in the industry and premium segment.
You will be an important part of an international procurement team with collaborations in both Europe and China. In this role, you will work closely with internal stakeholders such as R&D, Manufacturing & Logistics, and Strategy & Business – with the goal of ensuring high quality and the best possible business value.
This is an assignment for you who enjoy taking responsibility, driving business forward, and want to be part of creating the future powertrain solutions.
Your tasks will include, among others: - Drive and develop the purchasing work within base engine and related components - Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives - Be the first point of contact with suppliers - Conduct market analyses, benchmarking, and supplier evaluations - Work with strategic sourcing and negotiations - Ensure effective collaboration with internal customers and stakeholders - Manage orders, contracts, and commercial agreements - Develop and optimize the supplier base in the long term

To be successful in this role, you need
University degree in engineering, logistics, or economics
2–5 years of experience in purchasing and/or engineering-related roles
Experience in commercial negotiations
Good understanding of contracts and legal aspects related to purchasing
Strong business understanding and high integrity
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple parallel projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, spoken and written
Experience in procurement/direct material is highly desirable
