In the autumn of 2026, Haninge municipality will open a completely new resource school, and we are now looking for a school psychologist who wants to help build a school where students with extensive support needs have the best possible conditions to succeed. The school is centrally located in Handen, near the commuter train station. The new resource school will replace previously locally placed learning studios in the municipality, with the goal of gathering expertise and resources under one roof to create a more cohesive and powerful operation.

Your mission as a school psychologist is to work with other professionals within student health to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning. The work is preventive, promotional, and remedial. You are an essential part of reaching each student and collaborate with others at the school. You also initiate contact with both students and guardians.

You will work at the individual, group, and organizational levels and will be significantly involved in the work surrounding individual students and teaching groups to create a functioning and sustainable school situation. The work includes lectures, observations, consultations, guidance for staff, and student-centered work, as well as, if necessary, psychological assessments concerning intellectual disabilities. Together with other professionals in student health, you will collaborate with relevant contacts outside the school to support the student's learning and contribute your psychological perspective. You will work closely with the school doctor throughout the school year and organize visits from students and guardians.

The principal of the resource school will be your supervisor, but you will have access to professional support from a school psychologist with psychological leadership responsibility and the head of the Child and Student Health Unit. You will receive continuous support in professional forums and joint supervision with the municipality's school psychologists.

Previous experience working as a school psychologist and with children and youth with significant support needs, as well as work with positive behavior support, is meritorious.

• Experience with positive behavior support in a school environment
• Experience with documentation in the Prorenata journal system
