We are looking for a midwife for the care model Min Barnmorska at BB Stockholm. We provide comprehensive antenatal care, delivery, and postpartum care. We assist with approximately 3,800 births per year, and our medical outcomes are among the best in the country. We participate in research and the education of doctors and midwives.

Min Barnmorska BB StockholmWe work in two teams with 4 midwives in each. In the team, you are responsible for the woman from registration through the entire care process to the postpartum check-up. Each midwife is responsible for a total of 35 pregnant women per year. We work according to basic programs within MHV as well as regional and local guidelines for BBS. Our pregnant women come to us through referrals due to fear of childbirth and/or are assessed to have a particular need for continuity based on one or more socio-economic variables such as; foreign-born, unemployed, single, etc.

About the positionThe employment is permanent as a midwife at BB Stockholm with a mission in Min Barnmorska. You will work on a rolling fixed schedule of 8 weeks scheduled time at BMM BB Stockholm Family Kungsholmen and the delivery at BB Stockholm. During working hours, you will care for the one giving birth, have contact with women in the latent phase. The work also includes postpartum visits at home, telephone counseling, meetings, and other administrative tasks. We have regular supervision with a psychologist. Of course, continuing education in both maternal health care and delivery care is included.

Who are we looking for?We are looking for someone who is passionate about continuity and who wants to focus on the woman. It is important to have an empathetic ability and interest in people and their different needs. You should be engaged, flexible, and independent with a desire to work in a team. You have good collaboration skills with both colleagues and our families. You also need to have the ability to prioritize. We place great importance on personal qualities.

QualificationsRequirements: Licensed midwife for at least 1-2 years, B driving license. You should live a maximum of 1 hour's drive from BB Stockholm/Danderyd. Desirable: Previous experience in maternal care, delivery, and postpartum care. Interest in fear of childbirth, preferably training in MI or other conversation methodologies.

Employment form: Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period.Start date: by agreement. Individual salary setting. Collective agreement exists.

BB Stockholm provides health care during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care. Our specialist maternal care, delivery, and postpartum care are located at Danderyd Hospital, where approximately 3,800 children are born each year.

We operate at four midwifery clinics (BMM) and one child health center (BVC) with an associated breastfeeding clinic. At the midwifery clinics, we offer care during pregnancy, contraceptive counseling, and gynecological cell sampling.

Since autumn 2024, BB Stockholm can offer the care model Min Barnmorska where pregnancy checks take place at BB Stockholm Family Kungsholmen and the birth at BB Stockholm delivery. In late autumn 2024, BB Stockholm also started an ultrasound clinic for obstetric ultrasounds at BB Stockholm Family City.

Patients and expectant and new parents have significant influence over their care. Our overarching strategy is that health care should be conducted with respect, engagement, and quality.

The employees in our company are our greatest asset. At BB Stockholm, midwives, nursing assistants, and doctors care for patients. All doctors are specialists and have extensive experience in delivery care and maternal health care. In addition to staff involved in direct care, there are also administrative staff and personnel responsible for kitchens, storage, and other facilities. We also supervise students from midwifery and medical programs.
