About the Clinic

The Hand Surgery Clinic at Södersjukhuset is Region Stockholm's only specialist clinic for the treatment of injuries and diseases of the hands. The clinic has regional responsibility for Stockholm and Gotland counties. We also provide nationally specialized care for brachial plexus injuries, winged scapula, and dysmelia.

The clinic's integrated rehabilitation team consists of 14 employees, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists jointly organized under their own unit manager.

Job Description

Work in hand rehabilitation includes pre- and postoperative training/treatment in close collaboration with other staff categories. We treat patients of all ages, from children with congenital malformations to major hand trauma. Patient care is conducted mostly on an outpatient basis. The work is highly stimulating with a high pace. Quality assurance and R&D issues are an important part of the work.

Qualifications

Licensed Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist.
Good anatomical and biomechanical knowledge/understanding regarding the upper extremity.
Experience from primary care, hand surgery, orthopedic surgery, or pediatric care is an asset.
Master's degree is an asset.

Employment and Start Date

Employment Type: 1-year temporary position.
Start Date: As agreed.
Interviews: Conducted on an ongoing basis.
