About Us
The Academic Specialist Centre is a unit within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area serving patients with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, rheumatic diseases, and obesity, alongside a study unit for research projects. Within the unit, research, education, development, and innovation are integrated into daily healthcare operations. Our mission includes developing new working methods, innovative use of medical technology and e-health solutions, high patient participation, and collaboration with various healthcare providers and patient associations.
At the MS Unit at the Centre for Neurology, we work in teams comprising doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, other health professionals, and administrative staff. We meet our patients physically or digitally depending on the patient's needs. We strive for high-quality care, teamwork with competent colleagues, and a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
Standard nursing duties within an outpatient clinic, including:
- Administration of infusions and monitoring of patients during treatment.
- Patient counseling and clinic work involving patient assessment and follow-up, once you feel ready for these tasks.
Qualifications
- We are looking for a licensed nurse.
- Experience in neurological specialist care and experience working with chronic diseases is considered an asset.

You will work independently as well as in a team; therefore, we place great importance on personal maturity and good collaboration skills. We are looking for someone who is quality-conscious, clear in communication, and confident in their professional role.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:
- A criminal background check is applied prior to the employment decision, according to SLSO's overarching instructions for background checks upon employment.
- Employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination according to current directives, conducted by the occupational health service prior to employment.
- In addition to a Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is required. The same requirement is guiding for non-licensed staff with patient contact.
